In humanities we work on studying socialization and how different cultures and society's see certain topics such as gender, race, and class.
In this class we could choose between two books and have discussions on the book that you picked. I picked American born chinse and wrote notes about what I thought when reading the book instead of having a discussion about it.

- Scosilization affects all of us no matter race, gender, sexual orentation, we are all scosilized to be a ceartain way
- We can relate to the book because we all have tried to change ourselves to be a certain way that others want us to be, or to be more likeable to other people
- The illustration helps us to visualise the steryotes that happen in the story, and show us visually how it would affect people.
- The monkey king trains for so long to increase his self image and make himself more confidant, but when he wasn't let into the party because he was a monkey it dropped his confidence by a lot and it made him feel really bad about doing a monkey so he tried to change himself to be less of a monkey
In humanities we where studying the cycle of socialization and how it affects people. the mask project was a representation of how we see ourselves and our socilization.
My mask showed how we all have small parts of our identity that we hide for other peoples comfort or understanding.

Shakespeare
In this project we performed a shadow puppet show version of Shakespeare's midsummer night dream. In this production we built the stage, set, and puppets from scratch to match the way we interpreted the setting of this play and the theme that we chose. We also had a team working on the lines and scenes of the play and another team in charge of recording the voices for each character.
