In this project we had to build a working bottle rocket that would successfully fly and had a means of landing without damaging it. The point of the rocket was to try to reach max height. With our rocket we used a backslider as the way of keeping the rocket from plummeting. Our rockets were propelled by pumping air into a pressure chamber filled with water. Our pressure chamber was made up of just one bottle and Our max height was 325 ft. In order to build the rocket we had to make a blueprint to figure out how we would build our rocket, and then we built a prototype to test if our original design would work. Our original design worked relatively well although the fins were crooked which caused the rocket to spin. In our final rocket design we kept everything pretty much the same but we changed the fins to be bigger and made sure that they were completely straight.
